An Encrypted Message

July 3, 2006

Tonight, the sky is pitch black. Stars are out of sight and so is the moon. A heavy rain poured down. Suddenly, a cold wind blew upon my face. It gave me a very strange feeling. Very much unfamiliar sensation. It was as if the wind wants to tell me something. But I wasn't able to comprehend its message. And it blew even stronger. Colder. With some raindrops on it. But still, I didn't get to understand what it is trying to say.

The rain finally stopped. A couple of stars started to show up. One by one, they twinkled. They gave the sky a blaze that pacified me for a while. It made me forget all my worries. I then asked myself… Are they trying to appease my restless soul? Helping me cope up with the things that bother me? Still, I can't find an answer. Maybe one day, i'll be able to finally grasp its message. Maybe.

A Programmer’s world

July 2, 2006

My computer is my world. The Internet is my realm. I speak the language of the geeks and the nerds. I’m often very busy and occupied. I spend extended hours developing and maintaining computing systems. Sometimes twice the number of hours expected of me. I can hardly communicate with others. It’s easier to make a client program talk with a server module than to make myself talk with the business department people.

My computer is my best friend. It is always there for me. At all times, it does what I want, when I want it, and how I want it to be done. It never complains. A few mouse clicks and some keyboard events are all it asks from me. Nothing more. Nothing less.

But something is still missing. From time to time, I’m expecting more from this android. I want this device to listen to me. Ask me how I feel. But that time will never come. At least with respect to my life span. I guess, that’s just how it works. I just need to accept it the way it is.

Just Chillin’

July 1, 2006

I've been busy the whole week working, studying, and going out with my friends. It's really good to have something enjoyable to do at the end of the day. A cup of coffee with old friends is a good idea. Some bottles of beer would be great. A glass of cranberry vodka after bottles of beer may not be a nice plan. For sure, you'll catch a headache. That's what I learned yesterday.
