Irresponsible Smokers
September 7, 2007You usually bump into them while walking along busy streets and while riding public utility vehicles. They would take a puff on their cigarette and let it out as if they own the air they’re polluting. What is more irritating is when someone smokes in a jeepney with small children on board. I don’t know if these people are aware of the negative effects they can cause not only to these youngsters but also to adults who inhale the second hand smoke that originated from them.
If these people will contract pneumonia, allergic rhinitis or asthma, maybe they will realize how stupid and irresponsible their actions are.
I have nothing against smokers. It’s just that they should know when and where it is appropriate to smoke.

I know what you mean…it really is irritating, especially when a smoker blows his/her smoke directly at you while walking, and the scent clings to you all day. Pet peeve, parang nananadya pa kasi.
We’d all be a lot healthier if people stopped smoking.
